Terms of Service

Last updated August 8, 2026

These terms describe the agreement between you and Dayvane when you use the app. We have kept them short and readable rather than dense.

1. Accepting these terms

By creating an account or using Dayvane, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account, and old enough to consent to data processing where you live.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has gained access to it.

One person per account. Do not share your credentials with others.

3. Your content

The habits, tasks, goals, journal entries, and other content you create remain yours. You grant Dayvane only the permissions needed to store and display that content back to you, and to operate features you use, such as generating coaching insights.

We do not sell your content, and we do not use it to train machine learning models.

4. Acceptable use

When using the service, you agree not to:

  • break the law, or use the service to harm or harass others
  • attempt to access another user’s account or data
  • probe, scan, or disrupt the service or its infrastructure
  • resell or redistribute the service without permission
  • upload content you do not have the right to store

5. AI coaching features

The AI Coach generates suggestions from the data in your account. Its output can be incomplete or wrong, and it is not professional, medical, legal, or financial advice. Use your judgement before acting on it.

6. Service availability

Dayvane is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind. Features may change, and the service may be unavailable at times for maintenance or reasons outside our control.

We aim to keep your data safe, but you are responsible for keeping your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. The Reports page lets you export your data at any time.

7. Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion is permanent: it removes your sign-in credentials and the habits, tasks, goals, journal entries, categories, and coach history stored against your account.

Backups and logs may retain some information for a limited period before being overwritten in the normal course of operations.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dayvane is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data or profits arising from your use of the service.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. When we do, we will change the "last updated" date above. Continuing to use the service after an update means you accept the revised terms.

10. Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent to the contact address listed on our website.
