Task Management
Task management that fits inside one day
Capture tasks with a priority, a due date, and a duration, link them to the goal they serve, and let the dashboard show you only what is due today. Dayvane keeps the backlog out of your face until you need it.
What it does
Today means today
Your dashboard’s task card shows the tasks dated for today — not your entire backlog. Everything else waits on the Tasks page until its date comes around.
Every task can serve a goal
Link a task to a goal and closing it moves that goal’s progress bar. Day-to-day work and long-term ambition stop being separate lists.
Priority, duration, and due dates
Mark tasks high, medium, or low priority, estimate how long they take, and see overdue items flagged clearly. Filters and sorting cut a long list down to the slice you want.
How it works
- 1
Capture the task
Title, category, priority, due date, and an optional duration — a few seconds to log.
- 2
Link it to a goal
Optional, but this is what makes progress bars move on their own.
- 3
Work from the dashboard
Open the app and today’s tasks are already filtered and grouped, next to your habits and your score.
Details that matter
- Overdue tasks flagged with a clear due badge
- Filter by status, category, or duration; sort several ways
- Duration estimates roll into your day’s planned time
- Completing a task updates its goal progress immediately
Frequently asked
- Why don’t all my tasks show on the dashboard?
- By design. The dashboard shows tasks dated for today so the list stays short and finishable. Undated and future tasks live on the Tasks page.
- Can a task belong to a goal and a category?
- Yes. Categories group work across the app by color, while the goal link is what drives that goal’s progress percentage.
